Back and Forth

Trials and errors
have our lives on the edges of a seesaw.
We run to one end
trying to hack our way through.
A jungle of wilted plants
hanging in front of our eyes
We are hiking with no sense of direction
Praying that the glow of the sun
leads us somewhere safe.
We come to a brick wall,
a stone hedge of distasteful letdowns
and creeping lines forming cracks in our surfaces.
Our faith is filtered and we hang our heads.
We march backwards picking up
the lost moments on the way
The centre of our plank beckons us
as we return with remorse
to start everything all over again.
But we find the strength to balance
what we've done.
And so begins our journey again,
running towards the light.
have our lives on the edges of a seesaw.
We run to one end
trying to hack our way through.
A jungle of wilted plants
hanging in front of our eyes
We are hiking with no sense of direction
Praying that the glow of the sun
leads us somewhere safe.
We come to a brick wall,
a stone hedge of distasteful letdowns
and creeping lines forming cracks in our surfaces.
Our faith is filtered and we hang our heads.
We march backwards picking up
the lost moments on the way
The centre of our plank beckons us
as we return with remorse
to start everything all over again.
But we find the strength to balance
what we've done.
And so begins our journey again,
running towards the light.
I like the idea of this poem. You are right everything is a crazy journey/adventure in life. Great usage of the seesaw reference
