to convey my insides.
A canvas is a stark white slate
to start a portrait that eases these troubles.
I take my paints and smear a face
to stamp it on the container
of subconscious.
Some kind of wonder
for this task I perform
When the borders of a page
can't contain a mess that rips within.
Maybe I could better understand
more of these outcast thoughts
with a paintbrush stabbing its' end
into my chest
Maybe if I could release these inner voices
into an array of colours,
the world would finally understand.
